Meet Katy! She is about to launch her first business creating beverages and treats using edible flowers. It’s called Petal Palate…whimsical and delicious! I made her some pennant flags and a sign for her tent at the Byrd House Market in Oregon Hill. Today was the first day it went up so we paid her a visit to see how it came together! It was over 103 degrees today so she was a real trooper!
Spring Bada Bing
Back in April I made this sign for a local craft show. Originally, I was going to make it and see if they wanted to buy it as advertising, but I waited til the last minute to finish it. Since I had put all this work into the sign anyway, I snuck out before the show started and put it near the entrance guerrilla art style haha!
Endcap display sign for Benefactor Wine created for Trader Joe’s…On the top, in progress, and on the bottom, out and displayed!

Recently I was lucky enough to be featured on LuLu*s Fashion blog through my childhood friend Laurie Hartt. To read the interview click here. In a sort of “blog exchange program” here are some of the questions that didn’t make the cut. Enjoy!

Describe your fashion/hair/makeup style.
If I had to describe my current style, I’d say feminine, rustic and a little bit grungy. Think dresses, hair feathers, and converse!
Do you have any wardrobe staples?
Loose-fitting tank tops are definitely a staple! Under a vest, with a bunch of long necklaces or a bandana, layered under a work shirt…the possibilities are endless for me. I love how they can add a pop of color and that they are a very forgiving cut.
If we looked in your closet right

now, what would we find?
A rainbow of jersey knit dresses! I love the way they feel and that you can dress them up or down.
To which decade do you relate the most sartorially?
Definitely the late 40′s and 50′s…sweetheart necklines, flared skirts and feminine cuts that play up the curves…I can’t get enough!
Are there any current fashion trends that you’re into?
I’ve surprised myself a bit, but I’m loving the neon. I wouldn’t wear it head to toe, but bright layers and accessories feel so summery and playful.
